Came across this 1 1/2" revolver that shoots blanks and has a threaded barrel for an adaptor for shooting 6mm? illuminating signal-stars. At least that what the label states. Appears new with all the parts. Was this a toy or just what? Thanks

Key chain type novelty pistol. Never was aware that it was used for anything other then blanks? Are you sure that it's a revolver? There might be two different types? As the one I'm thinking of, was a single shot.

EDIT #1, By god your right. That what happens when you live a sheltered life. Your always a day late and a dollar short.

It's the one in the upper right in your photo. Googled it and it appears there might be a market for these "pin fire" pieces among collectors! Interesting, appreciate the reply.

Probably some gunshop commandos, wanting a backup for their backup.
Let us know how much you get for it. In case somebody else posts regarding them.

    asop,

I have two of those revolvers. One in a kit with the threaded barrel, and a 9mm flare launcher, flares, and a box of blanks. The other is a kit too, but it is round, and about 2 1/2 inches in diameter, with the key chain, tie clasp, and a box of blanks. Kinda neat, but it is more of a curio, than anything.

If you search, you will find, that there are numerous miniature firearms maker's out there. There used to be one, that lived near by, and his name was Herschel Kopp. He had several examples, of miniature arms, that were functional, including a tommy gun, that the ammunition was a shortened 25 ACP round.
