I was wondering if anyone has seen any Taurus 41's out there? I was looking last year and they were few and far between. Thanks for any help.

I'm guessing you're talking about the Taurus 41Mag. I bought a Model 415 revolver in 41Mag about 2 weeks ago. I haven't fired it yet, but I think it's going to be a little hand cannon with it's 2 1/2" barrel. An FFL buddy of mine deals with Davidson's. That's who I got it through. They have plenty of the 2 1/2" models, if that's what you're looking for. I didn't think it would be a problem to find ammo, but I finally found some at a gun shop in a different town. It's not as cheap as I had hoped. I hope this helps a little.

Khegglie - It's ported...3 ports on each side of the front site. I still haven't shot it yet as a family emergency has kept me out of town for the past week. I'll give you an update probably after this upcoming weekend.

I have a 451mag in ruger blackhawk and like it over my 44mag mainly because recoil is less than the 44. it has the 61/2" barrel and i have it scoped for varmit hunting and handgun deer season. have had no problem securing ammo or brass for reloading. only problem is i dont get to shoot it often enough. carl

I have a 41mag in a ruger blakhawk and like it very much because it doesnt have the recoil of my 44mag. it has a 61/2 barrel and is scoped for varmit and handgun deer season, I have had no problem finding ammo or brass for reloading. I think this would be a real handfull in a short barrel if it is not ported and then i am sure you are still going to feel it in your wrist if you shoot very many rounds. carl
