COLT KODIAK 22 MAG INFO

I would like to know when the colt Kodiak semi-outo 22 mag was made and what it might be worth. THANKS RE This gun does say COLT KODIAK on the barrel. It looks just like the colt colteer auto and the stage coach.[This message has been edited by mac059 (edited 12-04-2001).]

    Does your rifle say "Colt" on it? There was a Kodiak Model 260 semi-auto .22 Mag. in production from 1963-66; but I find no connection to Colt. Maybe they tried to market it for awhile(?). The Model 260 is shown at the bottom of Page 237 of the 1964 Gun Digest, if you can locate a copy and look at it for a positive I.D. Or, I'll be happy to send you a xerox copy if you want to post a mailing address. If one disregards the "Colt" information and just goes with "Kodiak" it is mentioned in the Blue Book, but no specific value is given other than it's worth about what other rimfire semi-autos of the period are worth. Perhaps you have a collectable--but first you'll have to figure out exactly what it is.

    Yes it says colt on the barrel. I`ve had this gun for years and can never find any info on it. If want to send me a email it is ruger@gisco.net Thanks
