I have an older model with the imbel reciever and the thumbhole stock. I paid $400 through gunbroker and I love the gun. Dont pay too much more and stay away from hesse recievers. Thats all I know.

I bought an L1A1 from SOG for $419 and am well-pleased with it. I had a CETME earlier. It was OK; but the L1A1 seems to be much smoother in its cycling action. It also has the gas adjustment control for various ammunitions. Very easy to clean too.
