Mystery Arisaka type firing pin

I needed a new firing pin for my type 38. I bought one at a gun show, and the guy didn't know if it was for a 38 or 99. It didn't fit the 38, so I figured it must fit the 99; but when I tried it in the 99, it didn't fit it either! It has a single cam channel in the rear like the 99, to accept the safety knob, but the dimensions are a bit different from either of the other two. Any ideas what this fits? I am attempting to attach an image of it below.
