    Hello All,

The firing pin in my P22 is broken. I can't seem to find a place where I can buy a new one.
It is part #266 09 38. Does anyone know where I can find one?

    Thanks!

    Jerry

Is there any type of break in period for these or can I shoot a few hundred rounds first time out without worry.

    Thanks

Purchased a new Walther P22 about a year ago. Looked like a sweet little plinker but nothing but trouble. Gun only has approximately 100 rnds through it and while it goes into full battery and functions the fireing pin, most rounds only have a small dent in primer area without functioning the round....before I return it to Walther...any ideas (yes the gun is clean!)

I recently purchased one and noticed it has tactical rails. Just for fun I want to mount a laser or light on it. Are there any made just for the Walther???

    Thanks

I saw an interesting little gun at the gun show today. It was a Walther P22. It had the 5" barrel. It looks just like a miniature P99. I'm really interested now. Anyone have anything to say good or bad?-Marcus

I'm interested in buying a Walther P22 and depending upon which gun store I'm and which clerk is waiting on me, opinions about the gun differ widely. Some say it's VERY AMMO SPECIFIC and will only accept higher end ammo. Others say it gobbles up everything loaded into it. I really don't want to buy a .22LR plinker that needs a special or expensive diet. My other choices (alternatives) would be a Ruger MKIII or a Ruger Single Six with .22LR & .22WMRF cylinders. Can anyone give me some insight into the P22's ammo? Much appreciated.

My p22 seems to be having some issues. The firing pin isnt hitting the back of the cartridge hard enough to fire. It misfires about every other time. Ive taken it apart and cleaned and lubed everything good. But it still does it. Are their any known problems with these guns? Help!!!!

I bought a Walther p22 a couple of years ago. I love the feel and the look. But, Ive had nothing but problems with it. It is very * about what ammo it will shoot. It will go through the first 10rd clip perfect. Then, it will only shoot about every other round. If you pull back the hammer and fire again on the same bullet. It will fire. I have taken apart, polished, properly lubed everything 10 times over. Any help would be appreciated. I dont really want to give it up. But a gun that isnt reliable, isnt worth having. Thanks

How accurate is a Walther p22?? Would this be a good purchase to plink with and possible conceal and carry, or would I get more BANG for my buck with something else??

I have a walther P 22 . When i take it out to the range the safety snaps on every 2nd to 3rd shot. What can I do to prevent this from happening?

    Hello All,

I would like to know if I can lessen the trigger pull. If so, how would I go about doing it?
Is there another trigger group I could buy, etc.

    Thanks!

You fellas might want to hold off on acquiring this specific piece....I'm not sure if it is in this forum or somewhere else that I read bad reviews about it. Mostly about the miniaturized ergonomics.-Smooth

Here are several opinions, none of which are mine:weeks ago I posted an email in here stating what I thought of the p-22. IN not so many words I described it as, well a joke. IN fact I was so embarrased for walther in building a pistol that for example has an advertised compensator on it, but isnt a compensator, but really a weight that is made to look like a compensator, I almost wrote Walther USA.Well I bought it anyways. For those of you that are not in the know, here are the facts, and they are the facts.yes, it has plastic sights, plastic frame, plastic safety levers. ALuminum slide. For the barrel. IT is very thin. About a millimeter I would say. ITs only a sleeve, that fits inside an outer shell. The barrel comes loose after about a hundred rounds of stingers. The gun shop recommended lock tite. The double action is worthless, as well as the toy looking compensator. If your hands are much bigger than a 12 year old boys hand, then theirs only one hope for gripping it. full on battle grip. Strong hand thumb curled down, with support hand thumb locked over it at the first joint. ITs the only way. TRUST ME I TRIED IT ALL.For the only good part. IT actually shoots pretty good. IN fact once you get the grip down, its acurate and even fun to shoot. Is it worth the money? well lets put it this way. Im trying to sell it. If it doesnt sell in the next month or so, I will shoot it into the ground until the little screws and plastic stuff falls away.Besides you gotta admit that s&w has made some crappy 22 pocket rockets, and some of them are still going strong after a quarter a million rounds. ANd of course the Jam clear training you get with each shot. But who counts those things after the first brick.Their is one other thing. Its the only affordable out of the box 22 that actually looks, shoots and operates like a real combat pistol, so for a couple hundred bucks you can sit next to the multi hundred dollar hand cannons and pretend like your a seal member pounding away at terrorists. IF all of this doesnt make you laugh, try this on for size.A gun shop owner even mentioned that many might buy it as a self defense weopon if they could get the short barrel version. The bad part is that when the gun fails to shoot, you cant hit them over the head with it because its a tuperware surpise. LOOK, I gotta be honest, but even plastic tonka toys are built better than this.Sorry, but facts are facts. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++I do agree, they are overpriced. Walther raised the wholesale price by $50 before they became available due to the huge amount of consumer interest and inquiries. I guess they figured they had a winner on their hands and wanted to milk it for all they could. I'm used to the plastic, I carry a Glock everyday, so it's kind of normal for me. Although I have steel sights on my Glocks. The trigger is plastic, but it doesn't flex, the trigger of my H&K USP 45 flexes. That bothers me. You are correct, the front and rear sights are both plastic. I agree the short barrel would make the gun much more likeable.I was disappointed with how small the grip is, and how heavy the trigger pull is. While capable of a very good level of accuracy, you have to work to get it because of that heavy trigger.Given the chance to do it over, I think I would have bought a Browning Buckmark instead. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++I finally got to see, hold, and field strip a Walther P22 this past weekend. It was at my local gun store. The gun was priced at $269 and had the long barrel only. It comes with a plastic case that includes an extra magazine and an extra (different) grip backstrap as wells as a small bag of tools and a small bag containing different front sights. The gun store owner said he ordered it in January and just received it this Saturday!Anyway, I would have bought the gun but I just could not force myself to like it.Here are some of the reasons I don't like the P22: 1)Plastic everywhere! The frame is plastic, the trigger is plastic and I am pretty darn sure that the front and rear sights are plastic too! 2) The barrel is too long. Hopefully sometime this gun will be available with the shorter (standard) barrel or one will be able to buy the short barrel kit as an accessory.3)Overpriced. I feel my local gun store's price of $269 for this gun is way to high. This is a gun that should be priced at $200. Sitting next to this gun in the display case were some Ruger .22s - a new MK4 priced a $219 and a new P4 priced at $209. Needless to say, I think the Rugers offer more bang for the buck.+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
