Will an 1891 carbine handguard fit an 1891 Mauser longrifle?

Need a handguard, gunparts has carbine only; there are three inlets in the stock to accept the wire holders for the handguard and the two closest to the rear sights look spaced about right to take the shorter carbine type handguard. Or, if anyone knows where I can get the full lenth model, even better. BTW, what is the current price on the long rifles? Mine is in mixed shape... all matching, mint stock/exterior bluing, but with crest ground off and fair bore.
