Bob, the 30 WCF is a 30/40 Krag cartridge, the U S Army standard from about 1890-1903. I am not familiar with any .35 caliber "wildcat" made from that brass. But, before a search gets underway, an exact caliber measurement of the bullet should be made. It could be a .32 (.320), or an 8mm (.318 or .323), or even a .338. Then, maybe one of the experts can look it up in one of the cartridge conversion books. The 35 WCF is an obsolete Winchester number that was somewhat popular from 1905-1940. There are a few folks that still hunt with .35 WCF rifles, but the shells have to be handloaded these days, as factory cartridges are worth more to a collector. It's a very potent round, and its big brother, the .405 WCF, is a monster that can take down Rhino.

The .30 WCF,.30 US, .30 Army and 30/40 are the exact same thing. The cartridge you have marked .35cf (center fire) could be a .35 remington if it does not have a rim. Is the case about 1.920" long, and the length, with bullet, about 2.525", and rimless? If so, it probably is a .35Rem. If not, you'll have to give us the measurements, as described above, as well as the rim diaameter, length to shoulder, & shoulder angle. There weren't many cartridges in that caliber that had rims....

Ru, the headstamp indicates these were originally .30-40 Krag (aka .30 US or .30 Army). If the bullets measure over .30 caliber, you have some sort of basement bench special. NOTE: ".30 WCF" is *NOT* the same as the Krag. That is another name applied to the venerable .30-30 Winchester.

Iconoclast is correct, of course, on the 30WCF being the same as the 30/30. My mind was wondering trying to figure out what that .35cf head stamp could have been. I have a box of .35 Winchesters marked ".35ccc", but the "ccc" part stood for the company that made them (Conn. Cartridge Company).

Ru -I am 99% certain that what you have is .30-40 brass reworked to make .35 WCF; this conversion is listed in several of my books on this subject.
