I would like some help establishing the value of a Marlin Mod. 1893, made June 1910, Serial # 434XXX, and also help finding a magazine tube for this rifle. The tube on this rifle is the only thing that is not in very-good condition. Wood very-good,bore excellant, blueing good, has very-very little surface rust benieth the foregrip.

I think it must be the rifle as the magazine was supposed to go all the way to the end of the barrel but it has been replaced with the shorter magazine and forgrip, that is why I am looking for an originan long magazine tube. The dove tail out near the end of the barrell has been filled w/ a dovetail insert. I hope to be able to restore it to orininal. The barrle is 25 1/2" long and it sure weighs a lot compared to my Rem 700 Mtn. Rifle.

You will need a "magazine ring", too. That's what fits into the dovetail, and don't be surprised if it costs more than the magizine.Try Buckingham's at 731-559-4357,Bob's Gun Shop at 501-767-1970, and Out Back at 812-945-0848 all these places advertise "they have what you want". Mite as well take a chance. Good luck.
