1909 Argentine,besides 7.65x53,any others

I am having a hell of a time trying to figure out the cartridge that this darn thing takes.Have tried,7.65x53,308,30-06,300 savage. The darn thing looks stock but it has a 30 cal barrel.So I natcherly tried the obvious,no luck.Any ideas???Thanks,bill

    slug the bore & get a chamber cast to be 100% sure. bore should run .311 - .313. hope dis helps 'cause looks like somebody rechambered on ya.

    Darn,I hate to admit it but all I needed was to clean the original grease and 90 years of junk out of it to let her breath.It looks as if it was never fired.The face of the bolt shows not a hint of use.It has to have minimum chamber clearance.Each round has to be worked hard to chamber but it does and talk about tight WOW,,Thanks for the mental push guys.modoc
