FAL mags

I've got a Centery L1A1, built on an Imbel receiver. It only came with one mag.Does it take metric or inch mags? Can it take either?How can I tell a metric mag from an inch mag?Thanks, Brisco

    Inch receivers have a square slot running vertically in the magwell for the block on the magazine.Metric receivers have a concave groove in the receiver and the mag catch just catches on a lip punched out on the mag.Inch mags will not fit in a metric rec.Metric mags will fit an inch receiver.cpermd

    Imbel is a Brazilian receiver. It is my understanding that all Brazilian receivers are metric, English and Australian are inch, and the Indian version marches to its own drummer.

    Afraid not,Imbel made some inch receivers and they are for sale at several places right now.cpermd
