45ACP Ported

I recently purchased the Taurus PT945C. With the factory ports positioned in-line along the barrel, will I lose some velocity? Should I up my loads to compensate for my compensator?

You might loose some velocity, can't say how much since you omitted any details on the ports but I would guess about 50 fps based on others who have ported th3 .45ACP. Question though, why would anyone port a .45ACP? Porting is effective with HIGH velocity rounds, the faster the round, the better the port works. Ain't NOBODY ever said that the .45ACP was a FAST round, effective? - yes, a stopper? - yes, fast? - no way.
