When it comes to scopes, "You get what you pay for." However, I recently purchased a Simmons Whitetail Classic 2.5x8x36 scope to use on a 10/22 from CDNN 1-800-588-9500 for $69.00+S&H. The finish quality and clarity are excellent and the scope holds zero. Of course you would not want to install a scope like this on a Remington Sendaro or Steyr SSG. Try to match the quality of the scope, rings, etc. to handle the shooting characteristics and quality of the rifle--even if it takes awhile to save money to do it right.

I've owned one of them and that's the last! My experience is that they are pure junk! Please buy something else so you will be happy and not breaking stuff.
