Wolf .45 ACP ammo ?'s

I've read a number of postings here regardingWolf Brand steel case ammo.I have 500 roundsof .45 but am real hesitant to use it my Norinco because of the melting laquer problems etc.Would it be okay to use any of it in my semi-auto? or should I save it for my .45 Ruger Blackhawk and go out and get some other brand with brass casing to use in my semi-auto? Any help and advice is welcome and definately appreciated!! Thanks Folks Mopar

You won't have trouble with melting in a 45 as this shows itself [if it does] in weapons that are gas operated. Supposedly it can clog the gas ports. I think though that this is caused by lack of cleaning. The only consideration is the steel case wearing on the chamber where it headspaces on the rim of the cartridge. I personally would not use it for this reason. 500 rd. may not hurt, but I would rather be on the safe side. I've always been quick to defend Wolf ammo, but here's my recent problem with the .45 stuff. For some reason, when I cycle the ammo (not firing)it jams. It's usually 3-4 rounds, but last night every single round jammed. For this reason, I removed all Wolf from my Kimber for self defense purposes. However, I've NEVER had a single problem when firing. Wolf rounds have steel cases which can damage the feed ramp on a semi-auto. They will work ok in a revolver. (no feed ramp)
