Is it possible to swop out a 40 S&W barrel for a 357 Sig in the Springfield XD? If so were can I find on to fit my gun[?][:)]

    I saw this gun in the new Guns and Ammo and it looks pretty good. Even in my price range. Has anyone shot one of these yet? I'm looking for a .40/ .357, but any info on this newcomer would be appreciated.-Marcus

    While I'm definatly more of A 1911, and sig man in handguns, I have owned several Glocks, and found them to be fine handguns. I now see springfield has come out with A 45 ACP version of the XD, and am wondering if any experts out there have any info on these. Are they as tough A handgun as A glock, are they as accurate, and can they take the beating A glock can. If so I would be interested in one, they being as American made handgun, as opposed to A glock, being A foriegn made.

    I'm looking at buying either the 9mm or .40 caliber. I've heard that I can take a Beretta 9mm magazine and mil the top of it and it will work fine with the Springfield. I know that Glock sells .40 mags for LE with 15 or 17 rounds. Springfield only sells it with a 12 round mag. They do sell 15 round mags for the 9mm to LE. I am not in LE but have a friend that may be able to get those mags for me. Do you know of any 15 round mags that will load in to the new Springfield .40's? The only reason I would go with the 9mm over the .40 is mag capacity. Thanks for your help.

    does anyone have any information on a crimson trace laser for the springfield XD? Crimson Traces web site does not list any right now for the XD but I have heard rumors of one coming out in the fall

    I just bought one of these pistols and was curious as to what I need to lube the slide rails with. I've never owned a polymer framed pistol, and would appreciate any info.
