I'm looking for info, on a Colt Commander Lightweight Series 80. I have a chance to buy one N.I.B for a very cheap price. I have a Colt Gold Cup Series 70 and like it. Thanks for the knowledgeable feed back.

I recently aquired a Colt D A .45 Model 1917 from my step-dad. Does this weapon shot .45 ACP rounds or Colt .45 Long Shot?

My carry gun is a Colt Commander and I love it. I know the "Kimber" guys are going to have a different opinion, but I wouldn't trade mine as a carry gun for anything. Always shoots where and when I want it to. If I ever lose confidence in a gun, be it rifle, pistol, or shotgun, I get rid of it. Also have never met a gun repair expert, but Briley's has come close.

A Series 70 LW Commander is my favorite carry gun.Hard hitting, sweet shooting, accurate for self-defense, light enough and comfortable enough to carry. It's an excellent carry weapon right out-of-the-box, but over the years, I've modified it a bit....MMC adjustable combat sights, trigger job, relieved ejection port, polished feedramp, long tang grip safety, Pachmayr grips and flat mainspring housing.Buy it.....you can't go wrong.
