I just bought a mossburg model 49 pump 12 guage shotgun with a hammer in new condition.Can anyone tell me any thing about this gun?I have never seen one like it,has a 4 digit ser# and is a nice piece.Thanks.

    Saxonpig---- Thanks for replyI double checked the model number and it is for sure model 49It is a pump 12 guage with the exposed hammer and the ser# has only 4 digitsI have never seen one of these before,also has 32 inch barrel.Do you know of any sites where I could look to identify this?Thanks again.
