i have a colt diamondback .22 that I would like to put a scope on. After repeated unanswered inquiries to colt, I thought someone here may have some answers. Is there a mount made for the diamond back or do I need to get it drilled?

I don't know the condition of your Diamondback, but if it is really good, you might want to reconsider doing anything that would damage the finish. Diamondbacks in good, original condition are valuable guns now days.Ruger makes a good 22 caliber pistol that scopes up very nicely. Some even come drilled and tapped for scope mounts.

Oh, I almost forgot. If you intend to scope your Diamondback, the best way is to have it drilled and tapped.
