Saiga AK's

Anyone have or shoot the Saiga AK's? I have not seen them except for in ads. I have seen the Saiga 410 semi auto shotgun. It has a cheap synthetic stock and what seems to be a painted reciever. Whatever you can tell me about the Saiga AK's (functionality, reliability, accuracy, etc.) would be appreciated. The $179 price tag is hard to ignore.Roy

They are made on the same action as a standard AK. The 410 is cheaper than the 20ga or 12 ga because they can use a standard sized receiver on the 410, the other two require a slightly beefier receiver for the larger round. The cheaper price you mention of course is the dealer price not retail. I know a number of guys that have the Saiga shotguns and like them.

Other than not accepting hi cap mags, do other AK parts interchange? Anyone shoot one?

I just received and fired my Saiga new Russian production AK 7.62 X 39mm. Go to the general discussion board to page 2,3 or 4 or 5 and you will see the results and my .02 on the gun there.
