Joe--can you be a little more specific about what you want to know?

What's the difference between them and a Norinco AK 47. How can you tell if their pre-ban other than the flash suppressor, and are they any good?

The only significant difference between the Norinco AK-47 and NHM-90 or which I am aware is that the NHM-90 had a thumbhole stock, whereas the AK-47 has a conventional buttstock and pistol grip. As for what is and isn't preban I suggest that you look back in the archives for a post by les-1 entitled "MAK-90 Preban???" dated 1-25-2002 05:08 P.M., currently on page 7. There is a very good reply by boeboe as to what really is and isn't preban.

NHM 90's were exclusively post-ban. They and the MAK 90's were solutions to the 1989 assault weapons ban. They are only legal with a thumbhole stock unless you replace about $200 in parts with American made parts so that it can have (legally) a pistol grip.
