Hi everyone, need a little info.I bought a savage model 93R17 used but in excellent condition,it has a heavy stainless barrel. The problem is about every 10 shots or so it will not eject the shell,i got to reach in with tweezers to get the shell out.I am using hornady ammo. This is a older savage and it does not have the new accu trigger on it.Is there anything that I can do??Thanks Joe

Hello, i am wondering if anyone has experienced primers blowind out where the firning pin hits on 17 HMR CCI full metal jacket ammo? I just bought a Henry Golden Boy in this caliber and when we fired it every half dozen shells or so I could feel stuff hiting my face. After dark we very safely fired into a dirt mound and experienced alot of sparks back by the hammer? On inspection of the spent casings you can see where the rim of the cartridge cracked open right where the firing pin makes contact. I could not get this to duplicate with federal ammo? I am going to contact CCI as well as Henry on monday but wondered if anyone else had any info on this or any suggestions for me? Thanks

I was wondering if any manufacturers have ever made a 17HMR pistol. Since there is a 22 mag, I would have thought a 17 would be made too

I've sold the Ruger and Marlin to the same family. They
say they both shoot great.I just recieved my first NEF
in 17 rim so I don't have a report yet. The ammo will get more
plentiful and prices should come down.I let each customer have
one brick with each for $8.50 a box. Non rifle buyer's $10.50 ea
    Hope this helps.

My friend had a couple marlins in his shop. He said by June they should be easy to get. First you couldn't get ammo, but you could find guns. Now it seems the ammo is becoming easy to get. So I think the guns will be rolling out soon.

The shop just got 8 bricks of ammo last Fri. Distributor says rifles to follow shortly!! I heard last week that by July everybody and his brother will have them if they want!! I just want one and my brother don't even know what it is!! I've had the ammo for a couple months. It sure looks purty! Like a miniature 25-06! GHD

Any chance Marlin will chamber one of their lever actions for the 17? I've nearly worn out my 39A on jack rabbits (out to 250 yds!) and the extra oomph would be nice to play with.
