s&w 696 with wolves

I HAVE A S&W 696 2&1/2 INCH BARREL.ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE FRAME IS ETCHED A FULL BODY OF A WOLF. ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE FRAME IS ETHCED A HEAD OF A WOLF. THE CYLINDER HAS 6 WOLF FOOTPRINTS. THEIR IS ALSO A FOOT PRINT ON EITHER SIDE OF THE END OF THE BARREL.ALSO TWO LIGHT SCRIPS OF ENGRAVING. CAN ANY OF YOU "EXPERTS" TELL ME WHAT THIS SPECIAL GUN WAS MADE FOR AND WHEN SERIAL NUMBER IS CBP8XXX. THANKS GUYS I KNOW YOU CAN HELP ME WITH THIS. THE GUN ALSO HAS RUBBER UNCLE MIKE GRIPS.

I don't know of any factory S&W's like that, maybe it was a special order, or someone just had it engraved. Anyway sounds like a really pretty gun, could you maybe post a picture.

The S&W Custom Shop currently offers laser engraving and this is one of the available patterns. So, they are strictly special order, but are not rare.
