Looking for a Winchester Model 1400 barrel??

My step-son inherited his grandfathers Model 1400, It presently is equipped with a slug barrel and a scope as he used it for hunting deer in western Ny. My question is are there barrels available for this gun. I would like to get preferbly a 28 inch barrel with the removable choke if possible, so that he might use it for small game and turkey hunting.
I am not a Winchester fan so I do not know anything about this particular shotgun. I assume it is similar to my Remington 1187 in that the barrels can be interchanged with out to much hassle. Any info you can give me would be greatly appreciated. We live in Pa and I have several rifles for deer, so the shotgun as equipped right now with slug barrel is pretty much useless. Converting it to a bird gun seems like the thing to do. Thanks Booger

    Try www.sportsmansguide.com

Last time I got a catalog, they had some very cheap Winchester barrels.

I know where you can get a Winchester, Model 1500, 12 gauge barrel for about $50. The 1500 will fit on the 1400 with no problem. E-mail me for more details. jeffparrent@netscape.net
