Need help with my Remington.

I inherited a Remington mdl 722 in .222 cal.It has a problem with the mag/box.It can only hold 1 bullett in the box and 1 in the bbl.A local gunsmith told me I need a new mag liner,follower,and spring.Well Ive been lookin and cant find these parts,so my question is will a mdl 700 mag parts work?If not where can I find the parts?

If you haven't already tried,check with www.gunpartscorp.com I would think they would have what you need.

If they don't have it then post what you need on the wanted forum, and also keep an eye on gunbroker. You may find just what your looking for.

You know how some people who have an old car, will have two of them, they will use one for parts... Well I tend to do that with some of my older guns.

Thats also why we have gunshows. You'd be supprised what kinda stuff you can find at a gunshow.

But to answer your question, yes the magazine components from the Model 700 can be fitted to the 722.
