    I have the new catalog and H&R shows them being available in a black synthetic stock only. Not sure what they go for but you might be able to find one because the Rugers and Marlins are very much saught after.

    I have been waiting for the Bolt Action Ruger or Marlin and am leaning toward the Marlin, but there are not any in stock locally. However, while I'm waiting for the Bolt Action, I will be testing the waters with my new NEF 17HMR Bull Barrel. It has a synthetic stock and forearm and comes with a hammer spur and some weird locking cable setup for $140, kinda hard to pass up. Ammo here is $10.50 for 50. I just got it and have not figured out which scope to put on it. If I like the caliber, I'll order the Bolt Action.

    Yes, it does come with a weaver base secured with three torx screws through the base.

    I just closed a deal (off another website) for the H&R Sporter .17 HMR;
    synthetic Monte Carlo stock, 22" blued bull barrel, Weaver base, $160.00 shipping included. Not sure if hardwood stock is available from NEF/H&R - Marlin or not but - for a shooter I'd rather have the plastic stock anyway.

    Hey i'm back. I just got my NEF 17 HMR on thursday. It cost me 159.95, and I put a 3x9x40 Sightron wide angle one it, 6-9 Harris bipods and a Butler creek sling. I have shot 4 groundhogs with it and it tears the hell out of them. Got 5 boxes of ammo for 9.99 a box. They had 3 NEFs left and i bought all the ammo. I have 4 22 mags and 2 22lrs and none of them will shoot with this thing. I am very satisfied with it, plus the single shot will make you learn to make 1 shot count.

    FreedomCasull, You make my mouth water!! Been waiting for months for the Marlins to show up!! Only ordered 17 of them!! 7 Rugers of which one has got here!! Looking forward to seeing for myself what a "truck gun" it will be!!! Have had the ammo for a couple months now but must be dealing with the wrong supplier!! GHD PS We'll just hafta keep poppin'em with the xp in 223 or 7mmBR or if they're a long way off the BR in 222Mag and if they are a real long way off, the old standby Devastation Supreme 25-06!!!!!

    I sell my H&R for $149.95 Plus shipping and let them have a brick for $8.50 a box. Without gun $10.50 a box . That way my Gun buyers can have ammo with there purchase.
