These flares have become harder to find in the past several years. In the early to mid 1990's there were several places you could get them. Now they have all, but dried up. The last ones I was able to get unfortunately had a 90-100% failure ratio. They would not fire, they had bad primers. I sent those back. Unfortunately that was the last place that had any available. At the time I ordered them, there was no indication of any expected problems with them. I, and I'm sure others, complained. I sent back over 100 rounds. Shortly there after, his ad said "may have some misfires". His interpretation of "SOME" and mine are different. "SOME" is 0-3 or maybe 4 out of 10. Not 10 out of 10 not going off. I'm sure he was able to sell lots of them without taking any returns since he now had a disclaimer.

Anyway, availability has been tough in the last several years. There have been thousands of the guns come into the country in the last 5 years, but no flares that I've seen. At least not in any kind of quantity. It would be nice if some one would import a bunch or start to make them here. Either way hopefully there will be some available at a reasonable price. I've got some, but not nearly as many as I would like to have. Flare guns are just too much fun to shoot.
