maybe "REDFIELD RECEIVER SIGHT. THIS IS A REDFIELD No 70 RECEIVER SIGHT. THE ELEVATION SLIDE IS STAMPED IN BLOCK LETTERS "REDFIELD" ON THE BOTTOM OUTSIDE. THERE IS AN APPLICATION CODE OF "E" STAMPED ON THE INSIDE OF THE ELEVATION SLIDE. WITH THE RESOURCES I HAVE, THE "E" WOULD INDICATE THIS SIGHT WAS DESIGNED FOR THE WINCHESTER MODELS 1892, 1894, 53, 55, 64, AND 65"
