scope suggestions

I am planning on ordering a .243 Cooper and need advice on scope selection. I have been using Leupolds and have been happy with them; however, I keep hearing how much nicer Nightforce and Swarovskis are. Do you think they are significantly better quality than Leupolds, worth the extra money, etc., etc.? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

I'm looking at scopes for my new FN FNAR .308. It will be for hogs, possibly deer at up to 300 yds., and target practice up to 500 yds. I plan on also mounting an Eotech or Fastfire for closer work. What are your recommendations as far as scope power? Fixed at what power, or variable at what powers?

At 500 yards, you will need to be able to see what you are trying to hit. I would go minimum with a 4.5-14 for a scope. If you mount it using Burtris tacticle rings, they have an acessory ring cap, that has a rail on it, to mount your Fastfire.
