Saw one in 45-70 30 years ago when a local shop bought out a collection of 50 Model 71 deluxes. Could have had my pick for $1000 a piece. I didn't buy one however at that time $1000 seemed like all the money in the world to me {stupid!} We still have the oddball Winchester stuff show up here in Connecticut. After all they were made here. Imagine all this Gun Control @rap taking place in the historic Bosum of the American Firearms Industry. We're fighting hard ,but we're way outnumbered.

I have verified (1) Model 71 in 45-70, and (2) in 33 WCF thus far. All three are long tang (early production) rifles.
