Removing Forearm from Mossberg Shotgun

Howdy. I have a Mossberg 500C pump 20 gauge fairly new shotgun.
I want to remove the forearm. I see it's got a large nut with 2 notches in it that I must unscrew.
Do I have to buy the tool made for this to remove the nut or is there any way to use a common tool to do this ? Any tips on this?
Hate to buy a tool for one use only.
Thanks for the help.

You do know you have to take all the guts out before the forearm/shucker will come out, right?
All I wanna do is get the forearm off. No guts or anything like that. Looks like this nut is all that holds it on.
Thanks again.

The nut is the only thing holding the fore end on.....
Really appreciate the help.

I watched this video when I got my first mossberg 500. Lot of good info in there.
