Any info on this shotgun?
Marked Stoeger Zepher #6 HG.
Has sidelocks, lots of engraving, and
Gold letter S for the safety position
No butt plate, just checkered wood instead.
Looks higher quality than other Spanish
Doubles I have seen. Really nice condition, just
Some hunting wear. 32" FULL&FULL.
VALUE?
Thanks.

One of the Spanish Proof Marks will be a coded date in a alphanumerical format. If you can date it, and get hold of one of the Stoeger's catalogs from the same time frame? You might be able to glean more information regarding the manufacturer, grade, and original selling price etc.

leeshop - I have a 1952 Stoeger catalog with three pages of these Zephyrs. I couldn't come up with with a #6, I did find a #7. I tried to post these without success tho followed the instructions in the Sticky. Can't remember having this problem before but its probably pilot error. If you want these send me a PM with email address and I will get them to you.
