I am trying to mount a Leupold scope on a Remington 700.The Leupold mounts I bought (used) have a screw missing. What are the screw holes tapped in the receiver? They are #10 torques head but I don't know what thread.
Thanks

Are you certain they're #10 Torx - most are #15. Nearly all 700s (as mentioned) use the 6x48 screw, the 700 MLR (338 Lapua) uses 8x40.

Might be #15's although I used a #10 and test fit the mounts.I'll try a #15 and let you know.

Yes you are correct they are #15's.This is why I come here to ask ALWAYS correct information.
