Turk Air Force Mausers

I've seen a couple of these listed in the auction, saw one in a gun shop last night. It's a '91 style gun, like the Argentine Mausers, a little lighter than the other Turks the guy had. Were these originally 7.65 and rechambered for 8mm? By the way, from what I could see, the one in this shop had all matching numbers.

    Ever since seeing this gun, and thinking about the Turkish Air Force, I keep thinking about a bunch of guys in turbans, rifles sticking up in all directions, in the back of a bi-plane, the pilot, a black and white beagle with goggles on his head shouting,"Curse you Red Baron!"
