I am the very proud owner of an italian made Beretta model 84bb. I was wondering if anyone had an idea as to the value and availability of this fine pistol. I'd like to purchase another one for my wife. She now has a bersa thunder.

The Italy-made guns are really beautifully finished aren't they? I had a model 87 once which is the same gun in .22LR caliber. I loved it and it shot really well, but my friend wanted it more than I did so I sold it. As for availability, I think they are making them in Maryland now so you may have a little trouble finding a brand new Italian made one. There is one on Gun Brokers now that is Italian made and says it's like new in box. The bid price earlier today was at $425. That sound high to me, but I haven't kept up with their current pricing so it may be OK.
