I have a few rifles I'm going to list at the auction for sale. I would appreciate some realistic asking prices. All are in excellent condition with very little wear from target practice. All have been test fired. Here's the list: Remington Wingmaster 870 12 ga. wood stockWinchester Model 70 300 win. mag. w/ Bushnell 3x9 scope and slingRemington 582 .22 (bolt action) w/ 4x scope (kmart)Savage 24v Series D O/U 30-30 20 ga. Remington model 700 .243 with sling & Tasco 3x9 scopeMarlin Glenfield 30gt 30-30 with Bushnell Sportview scope. I am not a dealer and I don't need to make retail on these, just want suggestions on fair sale price from pirvate party to private party (through FFL, of course)Thanks for the assistance. PS, I am not selling these through this forum, so please, no offers to purchase outside of the GunBroker.com auction :-)[This message has been edited by DrivnEZ (edited 12-15-2001).]

DrivnEZ:It will take a little work on your part - but here is one way you can do it.Go to the auction site "forthehunt" at the bottom of this forum.Go to the Modern Firearms section.Put 870 or whatever (you may have to just put in Savage in one case) and click. It will bring up all of the 870's on the auction site. Look them over and see what the average price is -- also see if they are selling. If they are priced at xxxdollars but no bids and being relisted over and over -- then the market says the price is too high.Like "johnb" - I would also like to know when you list the Savage 20/30-30 and have the opportunity to bid for it.Best Wishes For A Happy Holiday Season

Gentleman, Thanks for the input on this. I'm going out of town for a time and in January will return, take some digital photos, and proceed with selling. I believe I'm just going to start with some fairly low prices and allow the market to determine value. After all, it is an auction. I don't want to violate any policies about listing guns for sale on the BB, but if you email me I'll let you know when they're going up for sale. Have a happy and safe Holiday, DrivnEZ@Yahoo.com

The difficulty with the posting is that it is not enough information. There are many variations of Winchester Model 70 and Remington 870.Sort of like asking a car dealer to put a value on a Ford Mustang but not telling whether it is a '66 or an '82.
