i just bought a new bushmaster shorty. i am confused over what are the best trouble-free high capacity magazines to buy? is there such a thing as trouble-free? thanks

    I buy GI issue. never had a problem with them.

    GI issue (made by many manufacturers) or Thermold plastic magazines.Stay away from any mags made by the USA Magazine company, they are inexpensive but extremely hit or miss on fit and reliability.I find even new in bag GI magazines can use a good cleaning and lube with something like Break Free CLP, to help with reliability. I brought some new in bag M1A GI magazines a while back that were dry as a bone metal on metal, but a light coat of CLP and they function flawlessly.[This message has been edited by ED P (edited 12-21-2001).]

    Bushmaster is selling USA mags now.They are junk.cpermd

    I posted the # for centerfire systems, they have GI issue for I beleive $17 used and $30? new. These are the ones with the green followers too.
