IMHO.....yes....i love mine....and for $345 + (6) 30 round mags i thought i got a good deal.....If you are looking for a very accurate ak then the romanian probably isn't for you..... people have had a few complaints about them....sometimes the sights are out of alignment, sometimes the piston is bent.....its all about the luck of the draw..... im not trying to discourage you....im just making you aware that the romanian is kind of a cheap copy, but i still love mine....and its my fav of all my weapons...even if it gets 8 inch groups at 115 yards.anyway....for the price its great....but if you want something a little more pretty and that will retains its value more....get a norinco/polytech/poly-legend.... but expect to at least double the cost of the romanian.

$369 is a little on the high end. Here in PHX, that a big gun store price, but there are several smaller gun stores selling for $329. J&G Sales in Prescott, AZ are advertising 298.50, they have a web site as well. Get a copy of shotgun news, you'll see several venders thought out the country selling for a little better price than $369. At 10 cents a round, there fun to shoot. Enjoy.Looking through the want-ad I noticed Machine Gun Kelly's in Phoenix (602) 395-9093 is advertising $319. Best to shop around before giving too much profit to any store.[This message has been edited by just-shoot (edited 12-21-2001).]

IMO you really wont notice much difference between a milled AK and a stamped and with the money you will save on the stamped Sar-1 you can buy yourself a couple of CASES of ammo.Just my $.02,Josey
