has anyone ever seen one of these with a plastic stock. i bought one and it looks like a nylon stock with a wood grain. can a wood stock be fitted to itthanksclaydrive fast=hunt hard

Do you have any information on a Stevens 410/22 made during WW2 or used in the war. I don't know the model number and am working blind on this one. If you have pictures that would be great and how much are they worth. I was told that the rifle does not have a wood stock. Kenny

Old hickory

They're called "Tenite" stocks and they're from the 1940's. Stevens also put them on 94 single shot shotguns and on 311 double barrels. They have a tendancy to break but can be servicably be repaired with fiberglass cloth from the inside. Usually they bring about $40 less on a gun.

THANKS A LOT FOR THE INFO. THE GUN SHOOTS PRETTY WELL AND THE STOCK IS IN GOOD CONDITION ALTHOUGH IT SEEMS TO BE SCRATCHED A LOT. WILL AN OLDER WOOD STOCK FIT THIS STEVENS?

I had one with the Tenite stock. It was fine till I stored it in a hot attic one summer. It partially melted into a distorted mess.
