I have been checking the Big 5's here without finding any Turkish Mausers so far. Which model is most desirable or most commonly seen?

HeDog,Sorry, I didn't check the board yesterday, I had server probs, Got a new computer and the new XP program doesn't jive with the earthlink software.Back to the Mausers, the one I purchased was the 1938 mdl, Not a bad shooter, took me about 24 hours to cleanup, the bolt was full of cosmoline, I soaked it in lacquer thinner, evrything worked great, I even put and old military sling on it, and I think I'll take it, pig huntin with me next time I visit by wifes folks next year. When I went to look at then in early November the salesman, said they'll be going on sale in two weeks and he advised me to place it on layaway, and then come back when it went on sale for $40 (thanksgiving weekend), the $20 savings paid for the paperwork and I had money left over towards my first 20 cartridges. I'm happy. As for what other models they carry, you have to just keep your eye open, they put out a little flyer about every 2-3 weeks, I get one every sunday with the paper, and they don't last, I can tell you that much, where else you going to buy a good deer rifle for that much money.Good luck..PS I would be watching closely for end of year or imediately after christmas..
