Also reside, due to economic circumstances (read "job"), in IL. Do you know of a public, outdoor range within 50 miles of Rockford? Any help would be appreciated.

    Wow! Thanks for the info. I tried the NRA but many of the places they referenced had closed memberships or other obstacles. I certainly would appreciate hearing from you when you return.
