OK, now that I know this works, here's the problem: I have two triangular, blued bayonets, one in a scabbard, which I will describe 1st: This bayonet is unmarked, blued and measures 20 1/2 overall. Triangular blade measures 18 1/4. Scabbard is blued, half round with a leather piece to which is attached a brass belt hook. There is a prominent "US" in a circle on the leather attachment. The other bayonet, sans sheath, is also unmarked and blued, measures 24" overall, with a blade 21 1/2". I am ASSUMING that these are Civil War bayonets. I will send pictures to anybody who has interest/knowledge of what they are and their value. Many thanks.
