Just picked up a ranger shotgun. 16 gauge pump, almost humpback like a auto 5. I know it's a store brand name, but who made it? What store sold it. and Rough value. There is no address anywhere I seen on the gun. I found the serial## and ranger on the action, and the barrel is just 16 gauge 2 1/2 & 3" (I think). It's also marked proof tested. It's an old gun, not in perfect shape. alot of surface rust so far, haven't spent the time to clean it up yet.

A friend has a shotgun that appears to be a Remington model 11 except that it has the word Ranger on the side of the receiver. Does anyone know if Remington made such a shotgun for a retailer such as Shapleigh Hdw, Western Auto, etc. TIA.

Picked up a side by side at an auction a few months ago and am having a hard time figuring out exactly what it is and how much it is worth. It is a Ranger Precision Grade 104.3 in 12 guage. 90-95% condition. Solid rib, double triggers, 3" chambers, case hardened receiver.non-automatic ejectors.thanks in advance.[This message has been edited by JollyWhiteGiant (edited 12-26-2001).]

I think i can help you on this one. I have the same thing in 16 gauge.Mine is also marked 104.3 on top of the left barrel. It is identical to the Fulton Special made by Hunter Arms apparently for Sears.I have also had difficulty finding info. on this model. Old Single Shots

Me again.Guns in the condition you describe, that are marked Hunter Arms, seem to be running in the 500-600 dollar range in the Gun List.I can only guess as to the Ranger,s value, but i would think it would be about the same.Maybe someone else can add to this. I am no expert.
