I am also looking at a Springfield M1A with the Laminated stock model MA9225, but when I go to the Springfield site it doesn't list this model, am I being baited? is this a true all Springfield model or what? I can only help you with question 2, recently brought a Fiberglass Mossy Oak M1A Standard, which I've also seen on GB, but never seen mentioned at all on the Springfield Website.

Orphanedcowboy,The stock may be an aftermarket, I have a Fagen, type 3 midnight laminate that is georgous and after having my barreled action bedded to it I sold the fiberglass one it came with, I would bet a lot of people have done the same thing, espically with the older guns ...

CowboyRight now the best deal going is the Imbel receiver from FAC and the refinished G1 parts kits from DSA.Very nice FN FAL for $400 in parts.20 round metric mags are $5.Make sure you get a metric receiver.cpermd

Thanks Guys, I am waiting to order my new M1 Garand and M1A, also I am waiting to see if my friend will sell his L1A1, He says it's a preban he got in auction from the BATF, he said it came with out the trigger group, I don't know, but he assured me it's correct and all original, except the trigger group, I have a gunsmith who can authenticate it when he decides to sell it

I have seen the gun, and inside the magazine well, on the bottom of the bolt it is inscribed: BATF and then a 8 or 10 digit number, I have no reason to think he lied, I have known him for 10 or 12 yrs, but if what you say is true, then what is the inscribing for? The gun is a shooter, what little I have shot it, thats the main reason I wanted one
