Colt AR -15- pre-ban?

I purchased mine in 1988, new from a local Houston gun shop. Serial number is SP2315xx. Did not keep the original box because I didn't know I was supposed to at the time. Is it a pre-ban and what is it worth today? Have only shot about 50 rounds through it and it is in excellent condition. It is an A-2 H-bar model.

    Serial no's #SP360200 and below are preban. $1700 is pretty average.

    Good gun, but realistically it will go for about $1,200, if you want to keep and admire it for a real long time, ask $1,700. However, I guess there is always a fool out that does not know any better than to pay $1,700. Good luck!Boomer
