Well it finaly happened I've roasted the throat in my 06 to the point that it needs replacement. I've been using a 22in Shilen 1-12 with Nosler 150 BT's MV at 2930looking to go a little longer 24-25in and possably changing the twist to 1-10 so that it will handle the 180s (if I should want to shoot somthing heavier)your opinions please.ThanksBob[This message has been edited by Tailgunner1954 (edited 02-01-2002).]

Hart, Lilja, or Pacnor. The blanks are affordable and they are great quality. I generally use them for all my re-barrels.

Douglas or Hart, the only two brands I'd trust in a new barrel. I like 175gr match bullets.

ok maybe I should have stated it a little differently. I like my current 1-12 twist but it's limited to 165 gr bullets max.question I have is- will 165 be heavy enough for hunting in the US and CAN ? (I have a 416 rigby also, so maybe the question is somewhat limited) or should I go to the 1-10 twist which will handle bullets up to 220 gr?Thanks againBob
