Female needs expert help on very old Shotgun

Please help me if you can.I have a 1901 Columbia 12GA Choke shotgun.Great condition.It has the numbers 316578 near the trigger area.Is there anyone who knows anything about this?Or where i could get information?I dont think it has been used much,it was left to me by my grandmother who recently passed away,but had this shotgun under lock and key.Please help,Thank you in advanceSherry wes@ec.rr.com

    Hi Sherry, The best i can tell you from your description is its a trapper model, percussion fired with a 28" barrel. value from poor to good is, 75.00 to 225.00. Being your grandmothers i bet sentimental value is priceless
