My father has a complete reloading room of herters equipment and cant find replacement parts. Does anyone know where to purchase misc. parts or retrofit kits to re-juvinate old case trimmers and the like?

The old Herter's went out of business in 1979. You would likely have to track down old Herter's equipment to buy for parts. Probably someone else manufactured the reloading equipment under the Herter's name. If you could somehow figure out who they contracted that might expand the possibilities. I expect it will be a real trial to track down what you need.

Thanks HE DOG, thats just about what I expected. I have a new Sinclair catalog that features "Forster" equipment and their case trimmer looks almost exactly like herters, does anyone have an idea if they are interchangeable?

Hey ATF is HERTERSPECIALIST up on Herter's rifles or just the reload stuff? Just bought a Herter's rifle, that I cannot find listed in the Blue Book or Standard Catalogue and I would like to track down some info on it.

e-bay has had herters case trimmers and shell holders from time to time. they also have herters dies, but unless you are a purist or collector all dies will work

I bought a bunch of reloading Equipment a while back and in it was a Herters "C" type press, a powder measure, 2 shell holders and several sets of Herters rifle dies that look new. There also was several other small items. I doubt if I will ever use this Herters stuff because I have so much other reloading equipment. I'll probably try to sell it at a yard sale or swap meet.
