Is my SKS legal w/pistol grip?

Friends,I purchased my chicom SKS back in '89 or '90, when they were good, cheap, and plentiful. After a complete tear-down and clean-up I refinishid the wood stock: I got rid of the cr-p brown finish, stripped and sanded the wood bare, and gave it a beautiful light yellow stain and satin clear finish.Trouble was the stock was too short to shoot comfortably. I solved this in '90 or '91 by adding a 1" rubber butt extension and a black plastic/hard rubber pistol grip that attached to the trigger group. Rifle is now easier for me to shoot, and I think it is the best looking wood-stocked SKS I've ever seen.Have I broken the law by adding the pistol grip? I can document when I bought the rifle, but not when I bought or installed the pistol grip. Also, it has the original non-detachable box magazine and the bayonet lug, although I've removed the spike bayonet. Thanks for your help, Brisco
