Henry Golden Boy

Just wondering if anyone had some thoughts on the general quality of the Golden Boy. I know it's the old Erma design, but is that necessarily bad? I love the look, even though it isn't a strictly accurate copy of the 1866, but wondered about the innards. I gather Brasslite is some sort of brass alloy either coated on the alloy receiver or baked on or something. I own a 9422 and assume the general workmanship won't be up to that standard...or am I wrong?

I have a new Golden boy and I really love it what a beautiful rifle! I do have one problem though perhaps someone can help. Ocasionaly when I release the hammer to half cock, it catches before it reaches half cock, and any slight movement to the trigger sends the hammer the rest of the way down. Im thinking this is not a real safe situation.

I would contact the factory and or your dealer to have this checked out as a warranty problem. Sounds like burrs are causing the drag before the sear hits the notch in the hammer.
