payment/shipping help

I'm selling my first gun on gunbroker and have a question.A prospective bidder wrote me in reference to the rifle and told me he didn't have an FFL,but had a licensed dealer that would accept shipment and handle his papers.I know I have to ship to a valid FFL holder and that the buyer has to mail me a copy of the license prior to shipping, but what about payment?Does the payment have to come via the FFL holder you're shipping to or direct from the bidder?Maybe this is a dumb question, but I want to make sure I handle everything correctly and have all my answers before the auction ends. Thanks in advance,Joan

Hi Joan, The buyer can pay you in what ever form is comfortable for you, He needs to send a copy of the receivers FFL then you ship to the FFL holder, little suggestion, put the buyers name as well as the license holders name on the box so the dealer knows who it is for. Kris

Kris,Good advice, I wish more people did that. Even better, I wish more transfer dealers would indicate who/what their license pertains to. Seems like every day I've got to play match-the-license-to-the-auction...

Learned that the hard way, bought a gun here on GB, gun was received by my dealer and they didnt have a clue as to who it went to. After a week of calling and checking ,stopped in and got it cleared up
